Race Tip

SO SCOTTISH could prove to be a very well handicapped horse now that he tackles 3m for the first time under rules. A point-to-point winner last December, he subsequently showed ability in two bumper runs before switching to hurdles. It would be a surprise if he isn't capable of much better in time. Prince Zaltar finished second to So Scottish in his point but has since won over hurdles at Tramore. He has yet to prove his stamina for this trip but would be a threat if staying. Eat The Book caused a 40/1 upset under owner/rider Simon Condon at Kilbeggan last time but there was no fluke about that result. Centurion Steel also merits consideration on his first start of the year.
