EDWARDSTONE was brought down by For Pleasure on his seasonal return over C&D in November, but the son of Kayf Tara has gone from strength to strength since that performance, winning three on the bounce and emerging as a leading contender for the Arkle. He was notably impressive in landing the Henry VIII at Sandown when claiming the scalp of Third Time Lucki, who finished third on that occasion, and Alan King's gelding is likely to get the perfect set up with the aforementioned For Pleasure and Brave Seasca both being pace angles. Third Time Lucki would likely have beaten For Pleasure when Alex Hales' charge came to grief last time at Doncaster and, with conditions to suit, he poses a solid threat. Brave Seasca has been progressive in handicap company, winning his last three including twice over C&D, and the seven-year-old could have more to offer up in grade.
