Colour Sergeant deservedly put a win on the board at the expense of MODUS OPERANDI at Cork on Easter Saturday. There was a good battle between the pair on that occasion, with six lengths back to the third. Despite being beaten at odds-on then, Modus Operandi is hardly one to be swerving yet. He shied right under a tap of the whip at Mallow, and he'll come on as he gains in experience. Going an extended 12 furlongs should only be to the Frankel colt's benefit too, and a drying surface is hardly going to inconvenience either. Otherwise Anner Castle, Sanosuke and Scrum Half are probably the ones to be most interested in.
