Race Tip

MOTAKHAYYEL landed a pair of ultra-competitive handicaps at both Royal Ascot and Newmarket's July Festival last season and despite coming unstuck when upped to a mile at a higher level since, has won first time out in both 2019 and 2020 and will appreciate the return to 7f here. 2019 Mill Reef winner Pierre Lapin was bitterly disappointing during his three-year-old season, but has been gelded ahead of the new campaign and this represents much calmer waters. Toro Strike produced some fine efforts last year and the course winner is also taken seriously here.
