COAL STOCK saw off the reopposing El Paso Wood by seven-and-a-half lengths on his latest outing and though the latter now races on 6lb better terms, Syd Hosie's charge is still expected to come out on top. The grade-dropping Rostello would appear to be the chief danger having won well over C&D in July, although 11-year-old Steel Wave remains well treated on previous form and he isn't one to discount returned to a more suitable trip.
