Race Tip

LORD PARK has a string of good placed efforts in handicaps to his name and this looks a good chance for Michael Halfords's gelding to get off the mark. He wasn't beaten far in a couple of races won by subsequent Group winners last term and started off this season with a staying-on third over a mile. He was again doing his best work late over an extended 1m1f at Gowran last week and going a bit further here should suit. Ballinlough Gale, who began this campaign with a higher mark than the selection but is now rated 3lb lower, looks the main danger. He's been knocking on the door and ran well over course and distance when second to a promising type last month. The well-bred Kihavah was an encouraging third over further on his debut at Down Royal earlier this month and is another worthy of consideration.
