Race Tip

HELL LEFT LOOSE hinted that his turn was close when just denied at Down Royal earlier this month. The Denis Hogan trained gelding travelled into the race easily and looked a winner everywhere but the line. He is back below his last winning mark on the turf and clearly arrives here in rude health. Talking Tough boasts a very similar profile, having gone close at Sligo. That race came over 6f but the gelding will be better suited to the longer distance he encounters here. Cleveleys went close at Limerick on his penultimate start but was stopped in his run at Leopardstown latest. Salt Whistle Bay got up late to win a Claimer last time but the handicapper has had his say since. He remains of interest nonetheless.
