Race Tip

Albert Bartlett winner VANILLIER wasn't foot perfect when third to Lifetime Ambition on his chasing bow at Down Royal but is sure to have learned plenty from the experience and will be fitter as well after that first run for six months. Going an extra quarter-mile can only be a help to Gavin Cromwell's strong stayer. Sixshooter has won first time out in each of his four seasons of racing and made a winning chase debut over this trip at Galway last month. His hurdles rating isn't far behind that of the selection and he will be a danger if coming forward from that first outing. Ballyshannon Rose jumped very well to win her first chase at Thurles and is not to be underestimated while Fancy Foundations, rerouted here from Cheltenham, has won his two completed starts over fences in good style and may be more of a danger than his more exposed stablemate Run Wild Fred.
