Race Tip

Paul Townend has chosen EGALITY MANS ahead of Tramore maiden hurdle winner En Baton and the former point-to-point winner has always been regarded as a good chasing prospect. He landed a maiden hurdle at Naas last term and was well-fancied for a Grade 2 novice event at Fairyhouse only to fall three out. It looks a decent race, though, and Cobbler's Way is an interesting rival despite a very long absence from the track. He was runner-up in a Grade 1 novice hurdle at last year's Dublin Racing festival and also has point-to-point experience. Everglow has been running well in similar contests and, off a rating of 132, sets the bar fairly high for the chasing newcomers. His experience and race fitness will be valuable assets.
