Race Tip

APRILS JOY is a hardy dual-purpose mare who should get a good position from stall one. She won over this trip at Bellewstown last year and was coming home strongly when third over 1m4f at that venue last time. She'll relish stepping back up in trip and an ease in the ground will be fine for her. Talented hurdler Jeff Kidder has twice been turned over at short prices when trying to avail off what seems a lenient Flat mark. Easier ground may help and he'll have plenty of supporters again but he seems to need a hurdle in front of him to spark him up. Curragh winner Made For Minds has plenty of weight but probably has better prospects of staying the trip than recent all-weather winner Firstman, while Yamato has been in good heart over hurdles and has a chance if transferring that form back to the Flat.
