Race Tip

WAR EFFORT has shown pace in six previous starts and the half-brother to Group 1-winning stablemate Champers Elysees should appreciate the return to five furlongs. The selection was placed on his last try over this trip in a Dundalk nursery last autumn and the cheekpieces are now replaced by blinkers. Wild Eyed Girl hasn't always enjoyed the best of luck in running but has shown promise on a number of occasions, including when going close at Naas last year. She probably put up a career best, also over this trip, at Tipperary last time when again a close third in the maiden won by Messa Concertata. Gobi Star beat all bar the impressive New York City on debut over C&D but was denied a clear run and possibly unsuited by soft ground last time in the aforementioned Tipperary maiden.
