Race Tip

CHESTNUTTER ran a big race to finish fifth in the valuable Ballyhane Stakes at Naas early last month and should be good enough to open her account now. That race was obviously won by the exciting Sacred Bridge but she had several other solid sorts in and around then. The Anjaal filly had been placed in a couple of decent maidens prior to that and looks to set the standard now. Gabbys Girl has a mark of 76 after five runs and looks the obvious danger. She was only beaten a head by Tut Tut at Leopardstown on her penultimate run but was getting a lot of weight that day. Chestnutter had been a length behind the same rival on debut but wasn't receiving as much weight and looks to have improved since. Giselles Ausie makes most appeal of the newcomers.
