Race Tip

A contest that is likely to throw up plenty of future winners. DABANA ran a lovely race when third on debut at Gowran Park. She travelled into the race in the straight before meeting traffic problems which led to her being switched. She kept on to be beaten just over a length. The horse a nose in front of her came out and won well at Galway on Saturday. Dabana holds a Group One and a Group 2 entry. Gaire Os Ard has the same Group One Moyglare entry and showed promise in second behind a ready winner of a maiden at this track in March. She is a player. Magical Lagoon made 305,000 guineas at the sales and won a Dundalk barrier trial in June so has to be respected, with a Group 2 entry already made. The Algarve is related to a plethora of winners and is a sister of Group One winner Van Gogh. She has the big-race entries and must be monitored for market strength on debut. Salonica represents powerful connections and is likely to be ready to perform.
