Race Tip

Good ground seems to suit HOOK HEAD well and the son of Fastnet Rock gets the vote to record a third win this season. He took a little while to warm up before winning over 1m5f at Navan and has been upped in trip since. He struggled on very testing ground at the Curragh on Guineas weekend but was ultra-tough from the front at Leopardstown last time when bravely holding off Lunar Power. A 6lb hike makes life more difficult but he could be up to the task. Run For Mary won twice in bumpers as a four-year-old for Charles Byrnes and has added a maiden hurdle and two further victories in staying events on the Flat. She seems adaptable ground wise and, with Colin Keane booked, it will be interesting to see how strong she is in the market. Construct reverts from the all-weather with a chance, while No Thanks and Jake Peter are others to note.
