Race Tip

FATHER JED is an 11 year old but gained an eighth career win over hurdles at Clonmel and reverts to fences from a lower 101 rating. He seemed to benefit from his Kilbeggan reappearance run (when his rider reported he 'took a heave') and having won at Clonmel, is now rated 107 over hurdles and is suited by good ground and staying distances. Fox Watch is also suited by trip and ground, ran well in the Killarney National and is closely enough matched with Super Citizen on a previous meeting at Fairyhouse. Super Citizen did beat Fox Watch comfortably when winning at Leopardstown in March and can be forgiven being well beaten in recent banks' race. Norwigi has been running well enough without winning and can get involved while Mister Bells and Ask Cory are closely matched on Down Royal form and both are suited by conditions.
