Race Tip

CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD was heavily backed before his debut over course and distance last month and should be sharper now. He kept on to be a never nearer fourth and this Group 2 entrant can show the necessary improvement. Chicago Soldier performed well on debut when fourth in a head-bobbing finish at the Curragh. He then occupied the same place in a Group 3 albeit beaten the guts of eight lengths. The winner of that race (Point Lonsdale, a stablemate of Changingoftheguard) is a very impressive juvenile, though, so you would think Chicago Soldier will be winning sooner rather than later. Mannix, McTigue and newcomers Nero Tulip and World Famous make this an interesting contest.
