Surface: Turf
Draw Advantage: NoneDUC D'ALLIER won a summer maiden hurdle in 2018 for Henry de Bromhead before being sidelined for well over two years. He made a winning reappearance over fences for Joseph O'Brien when scoring on heavy ground at Fairyhouse in January and was quite highly tried thereafter. Back with his former trainer and having had a couple of recent spins on the Flat, he's likely to be primed for a big run and is partnered by an in-form 7lb claimer. Stablemate Eagle Moon is up 6lb for winning at Wexford and this is a better class of race, while Andalusa was a fair fourth over course and distance last month and is gradually getting some respite from the handicapper. Grade 3 juvenile hurdle winner Cerberus has caught the eye in his last couple of runs in beginners' chases and his opening mark over fences is 12lb lower than his rating over hurdles. Pulled up in his last two outings, Steer Clear can, nonetheless, be very effective off a break and Denis O'Regan is an interesting jockey booking.
