Race Tip

Having long given the impression he wants a mile, BANTRY is interesting now that he is finally upped in distance. The Lope De Vega gelding stayed on strongly to be nearest at the finish at Gowran Park last time, having enjoyed no luck in running at Leopardstown on his previous start. John Joseph Murphy is always a trainer to fear at this meeting, so anything he runs commands respect. Aristovic, a winner over this course and distance last month, should be capable of playing a major role. The Johnny Levins-trained filly ran another solid race when staying on late to take third at the Curragh on Saturday. Provided this race doesn't come too soon, the three-year-old should go very close. Chatterbox has to be considered as the mount of Colin Keane. He most likely had the pick of the Murphy runners and appears to have sided with the handicap debutant.
