Another Cape gelding, TAKE TO WAR, had excuses in his last two, showed fair potential in sprints and needs to be taken seriously. Highveld-based geldings WAVE WARRIOR and FORGOTTEN TIME could offer much more on the poly. On earlier form the former should not be racing in the maiden ranks but may need further. The latter is in top form and his last run was franked last week. SENOR GARCIA and RED MAHOGANY also have claims.
