Race Tip

Aidan O'Brien gave a favourable mention to MIDDLEMARCH in a recent stable tour and the Dante entry may be good enough to make a winning debut here. The son of Caravaggio is out of a full-sister to the ill-fated Royal Lodge winner Mohawk. Warren Beach has a lofty enough rating of 94, having run in Group 3 company last season, but he didn't run up to that mark at Dundalk on his return early last month and has a bit to prove. Adonis was actually beaten favourite when just behind that rival in a Navan maiden last term and had produced a couple of solid runner-up efforts previously. He is entitled to be a big player. The likes of Moe Sedway and Schiele also have solid placed form in a deep enough maiden.
