Race Tip

KNIGHTLAILA showed nice ability when finishing well for third in a recent course maiden. The first foal out of a juvenile winning dam, he attracted some market support when running well against experienced rivals on debut could be the type to win races. Silk Damask is also out of a winning dam and is nicely bred. There is little to link her, form-wise, with the selection but she has run two solid races and is likely to run another solid race, stepping up slightly in trip. Havana Pearl also ran well over seven furlongs in December (the fourth-placed horse later won) but might also be vulnerable to one or two. Gericho is notable being a well-bred newcomer for a trainer whose modus operandi has been as a breeze-up vendor. A 58,000gns yearling purchase, she is out of a Listed winning dam whose sister Peaceful won the Irish 1,000 Guineas. Dromore Glory has some place claims in first-time cheek-pieces.
