Race Tip

PAT COYNE is a consistent sort in this grade, filling the runner-up spot three times in handicap chases this summer before opening his account over fences last time in a Tramore beginners' chase. That was probably a career-best effort by the John Queally-trained gelding and the form received a timely boost when Bold Emperor (fifth) won at Sligo on Wednesday. Dakota Beat won twice in bumpers a couple of seasons back and added to that tally with a runaway victory in a Perth maiden hurdle this summer. He was handicapped over fences on testing ground last winter and should prove competitive off his current mark. Doldido has only gone up 4lb for a narrow win at Galway last week, while Limerick maiden hurdle winner Chesterville is another to consider.
