Race Tip

Despite jockey bookings suggesting he is his stable's second string RIOT has plenty going for him. A proven performer at this level over a straight 7f, the Johnny Murtagh-trained gelding was a real eye-catcher when running on late over 6f at the Curragh last time. He had finished third over the straight track at Ascot in the Buckingham Palace Stakes last year and later suffered interference when fifth in a premier handicap at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend. Well berthed just four off the stands rail, he should run a huge race. Last year's winner Hightimeyouwon went on to go close in two similar races at the Curragh despite being drawn on the wrong side on both occasions. He was similarly inconvenienced when only 16th on his reappearance but this race will have been a target for some time. With a much more favourable draw here he will make a bold bid for back to back wins in the race. Ken Condon has two live contenders in Moss Tucker and Ice Cold In Alex. The former made a very pleas
