Race Tip

Cloth Cap was all the rage for the Grand National following his victories in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury and in his Aintree prep at Kelso. However, he was pulled up having stopped quickly and a wind operation is likely to aid his cause. That said, Jonjo O'Neill's gelding is likely to have bigger targets later in the season and a chance is taken with STORM CONTROL. The eight-year-old's form tailed off at the back end of last season, but he won twice at this course last season, including off this mark in December, and his stable have been amongst the winners of late. Jersey Bean won here in April and could have more to offer having gone up 4lb for that success, while Definite Plan, who sports cheekpieces on his handicap debut over fences, and Cool Mix are feared most of the remainder.
