Race Tip

Coole Cody has to be respected having won the Racing Post Gold Cup over C&D last month, especially as a 4lb rise for that success does not appear to be overly harsh. That said, a chance can be taken with SIMPLY THE BETTS, who failed to stay 3m on soft ground in the Many Clouds at Aintree last time. Prior to that, the eight-year-old had made a very promising stable debut when finishing sixth in the Paddy Power and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form now dropped in trip and grade. Funambule Sivola has not been disgraced in Graded company since bolting up in a handicap at Ascot in March and he should not be underestimated. Others to note are Zanza and Galahad Quest.
