JCB Triumph Hurdle (Grade 1) (GBB Race)
2m 179y
Going: Good to Soft (Soft in places)
Surface: Turf
Draw Advantage: NoneFil Dor has long been regarded as Gordon Elliott's main hope for this race, but he was comfortably held at Leopardstown by Vauban, who was narrowly beaten by PIED PIPER at Punchestown in late December. Vauban and Pied Piper have certainly improved since that clash and both demand respect, but the latter was so impressive when winning at this track last time and that makes him look the slightly more solid of the pair. Il Etait Temps ran a cracker when third in the aforementioned Leopardstown contest and he's no back number, nor is his stablemate Icare Allen, although he needs to brush up on his jumping. Knight Salute is five from five over timber and looks best of the home team.
